International Professional Security Association (IPSA) joins Professional Security Officer (PSO) Live event to be held between 25-27 April 2023 at National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, co-located with The Security Event.
IPSA announced that it will be a show partner to the event “as the largest trade association for front-line security professionals, giving ‘One Voice’ to 5000+ security officers all over the globe.”
In the announcement, IPSA said: “Our core objective is to raise the profile of security professionals by facilitating discussion, conducting research, providing free training resources, and much more.
“Having highlighted the lack of front-line representation in industry events, IPSA is thrilled to be a part of Professional Security Officer Live. It believes that this much needed industry focal point will play a vital role in creating a hub to inform and encourage the front-line further.”
Launching in 2023, Professional Security Officer (PSO) Live aims to create a national hub for security guarding providers to showcase their protection management and business security solutions to front-line professionals and end users responsible for procuring security personnel for their businesses.
PSO Live states the purpose of the event as follows: “Over 450,000 licensed security officers in the UK work on the front-line protecting our communities and managing public safety.
“Controlling volatile situations and conflict, evolving security threats, criminal activities; there has never been a greater demand to equip, train and support the vital and essential role front-line security professionals play in protecting our people, places and assets.
“PSO Live will bring together the entire sector representing security personnel, service providers and leading technology providers.”
The event will be supported by a comprehensive free-to-attend conference that will highlight and address key issues within the sector that include, training and certification, career pathways, standards, health and wellbeing and enhanced physical protection.
PSO Live will run alongside the UK’s Award-Winning No.1 Commercial, Enterprise & Domestic security show – The Security Event and co-locate with The Fire Safety Event, The Workplace Event, The National Cyber Security Show and The Health & Safety Event, known as “The Safety & Security Series” that will welcome 825+ exhibitors and 32k+ attendees.
The event is organised by Nineteen Group, which is a rapidly expanding, dynamic and ambitious events business with a clear focus.
Nineteen Group states: “Our events are dedicated to protecting people, assets and organisations and our corporate vision is focused on becoming the most successful events business in the UK. At the heart of Nineteen Group lies over 100 years of industry expertise.”
