Guardsmen were seen collapsing in a rehearsal for Trooping the Colour in front of the Prince of Wales as temperatures soared over Saturday.
A guardsman was seen continuing to play his trumpet on the ground after fainting under intense heat.
“Not all heroes wear capes,” some commented online.
Others commented that this was a great illustration of the British motto “Keep Calm and Carry On”.
The Met Office predicted sunny weather and soaring temperatures will trigger a stormy system over the UK after Saturday when other guardsmen were also seen collapsing under the blazing sun during the rehearsal.
An amber weather warning was issued by the weather forecasters.
“Temperatures reached 32.2°C at Chertsey today, making this the warmest day of the year so far for the UK and England,” The Met Office said on Saturday.
Some Twitter users online commented that the guardsman uniforms were at fault.
Another user pointed out that this was their summer uniform.
Some others thought that it only illustrated how high the temperature was.
