NBCS launches ‘Violence Against Security Workers’ campaign

National Business Crime Solution partnered with SIA and leading private security companies to support security workers with the campaign.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about the crucial role of security personnel across all sectors of UK business, difficulties of the job and the challenges security personnel face in dealing with violent incidents.

‘It’s time they knew!’

As the campaign’s motto suggests, not everyone knows that violence is not part of the job of security personnel. It is considered as more of a symptom and the campaign aims to bring together all the players in the industry to understand its true impact.

The first step in the campaign will be to understand numbers by asking security staff from all sectors to complete a short survey. The survey link will come from the employer if they are part of the group.

NBCS urges security staff who have not received the survey link to refer their employers to NBCS’s flyer and ask them to get involved by scanning the QR code and registering their interest.

The campaign is supported by Amberstone Security, Mitie, Professional Security, TSS (Total Security Services) Ltd, Bidvest Noonan, G4S, Carlisle Support Services, National Business Crime Centre and Security Industry Authority.

NBCS, an independent, non-profit organisation established in 2012, works with businesses, police, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), Business Crime Reduction Partnerships (BCRPs) and other crime prevention agencies to reduce crime and risk across the UK.
