Safer Business Network announced its latest Business Crime Reduction Partnership in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Greenwich Council has listened to businesses’ concerns in terms of crime and ASB negatively impacting their trades and their staff safety and fully funded 18 months of support for the business communities of Woolwich, Eltham, Plumstead, Abbey Wood and Cutty Sark.
A spokesperson from Safer Business Network said: “We know the struggle of fighting crime alone, the frustration of ‘nothing ever happens’ and the acceptance of behaviours that shouldn’t be accepted.
“Our BCRP will work to help and support businesses by equipping them with the tools and the knowledge to be part of the change and improve their confidence and knowledge on how crime, violence and ASB are being dealt with across the borough.”
Safer Business Network said they are “determined to guide businesses towards a better understanding of the importance of crime reporting and identification of prolific offenders, stressing out that abuse and violence are not part of the job,” with a higher than ever level of violence and abuse toward staff.
“By working together, increasing community cohesion and improving trust and confidence in the police, we can tackle violent crime and bring perpetrators to justice, easier when we work all together,” they added.
