Virtual security officer training demonstration at The Security Event

The Security Event includes demonstrations of virtual training for security officers in partnership with Moonhub, a VR training company that won BSIA’s Outstanding Security Training Initiative Award 2023 in partnership with Corps Security.

The virtual training is available between 12:00-14:00 hours at Skills for Security zone of The Security Event at NEC Birmingham and includes 1-2-1 demonstrations and queries about the products and solutions on offer.

The competition consists of an open session running on 15-minute rotations where each candidate is given a PICO headset to carry out a virtual training course to introduce them to the possibilities and benefits of virtual training within their organisations.

This training includes a live feed of a leader board displaying the top scores set throughout each day generated by the virtual training platform, with a prize given to the top scorers at the end of each day.

The virtual security officer training is open to all with limited spaces.

VR training is the up-and-coming way for training security officers in real-life conditions. It can be completed 4 times faster compared to traditional training methods.

Moonhub’s VR training solutions focus on environmental preparation aimed at honing technical skills and heightening cognitive awareness to empower the global workforce.

Its patented VR scoring technology enables the company to record learner’s performances in innovative ways.

Seetan Varsani, Major Accounts & Strategic Development Director at Corps Security, commented on Moonhub, the VR training provider: “Moonhub has unlocked and helped realise the potential and power of learning and development via immersive environments and virtual reality.”
