International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) UK & Ireland announced the next examination date for both CPO and CSSM in Ireland.

Examinations will take place on Saturday, 29 April 2023 at Workday’s Offices in Dublin, starting at 09:00 hrs.

Candidates for Certified Protection Officer (CPO) program must have six (6) months of full-time protection officer experience (or equivalent) or one year of part time protection officer experience (or equivalent).

Students enrolled into a recognized classroom training program may also qualify for this program.

IFPO stated that students may take the exam first and receive a certificate of completion, applying for certification when they have obtained the necessary experience. 

The Certified in Security Supervision and Management (CSSM) Program distance learning course, on the other hand, is designed to meet the needs of the security supervisor or manager.

The program consists of an unsupervised midterm examination (optional) and a mandatory proctored final examination.

CSSM candidates address simulated workplace scenarios demanding supervisory / management action, substantiating recommended actions.

The scenario material is reviewed to determine certification eligibility.

The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) is dedicated to providing meaningful and cost-effective security training for security guards and protection officers.
