Civic buildings across the nation will be illuminated blue today as it is the eve of National Police Memorial Day.
Police Remembrance Trust announced that National Police Memorial Day will take place at the New Theatre Cardiff on 24 September.
Policing Minister Chris Philp said: “National Police Memorial Day is a time for us to remember the ultimate sacrifice that many have made to keep this country safe.
“Every single day the police put their lives at risk to protect us, and we must not forget these daily acts of courage and bravery.
“I look forward to being in Cardiff in September so I can join the families and colleagues who have lost loved ones in the line of duty and remember their service to this country.”
