EVVA, ‘Erfindungs-Versuchs-Verwertungs-Anstalt’ (Invention, Experimentation and Application Institute), is an Austrian family-owned business with its roots dating back to 1919. Over the years, the company developed its security products with its first patent for a cylinder padlock awarded in 1937. Today, EVVA is one of the leading European manufacturers of mechanical and electronic locking systems.

EVVA continue to run research, development and production facilities at their company headquarters in Vienna and export their products across the world. EVVA’s exclusive distribution partner in the UK is SBD member company member Aldridge Security Ltd, who have been proudly selling EVVA products since 1996.

Doug Skins, Secured by Design, said: “I am delighted that EVVA have renewed their membership with SBD. They have been members with us since 2017 and are an innovative company who are keen supporters of SBD. They have an extensive range of products which have achieved SBD’s Police Preferred Specification and I am looking forward to our continued relationship with them over the coming years”.

Heiner Dolinar, Head of Product Management at EVVA, expressed his joy at being a member of this prestigious organisation. He said, “We are proud to be part of this esteemed organisation. SBD has not only been with us for many years but is also a productive source of inspiration for future developments in the security industry, crime prevention, and therefore also for EVVA.
