ISRM’s globally recognised online training programmes to start on May 1st

Level 5 training programmes of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) and Deltar Training Solutions in Terrorism Prevention and Management, Corporate Risk and Crisis Management, and Planning and Management of Major Events will start on Monday, May 1st.

There is still time to register.

Level 5 Award in Terrorism Prevention and Management

Monday 1st-Friday 5th May, 09.00-10.30 BST.

Designed for security and risk managers who are being tasked with the modelling, planning and management of security programmes that are robust enough to protect their communities not just from accidents and disasters, but from wilful attack, this programme is based on the lessons learned over a life-time of experience from multiple practitioners, as well as globally accepted best practices that allow anyone, whatever their role or environment, to utilise standard templates, frameworks and methodologies in order to ensure that their own communities are as safe as it is possible to be.

Terrorism Prevention and Management is not something that can happen in isolation. It requires the buy-in of everyone involved in an organisation, as well as the development of a wider network of personal and professional connections that creates a safe and security environment, rather than focussing on securing isolated components.

This course covers all of the significant issues that need to be taken into account when creating a holistic, integrated and, above all, sustainable terrorism awareness and management programme.

Level 5 Award in Corporate Risk and Crisis Management

Monday 1st-Friday 5th May, 16.00-17.30 BST.

The Level 5 programme is designed for experienced security, risk and business continuity managers who are being given responsibility for the planning, management and implementation of increasingly complex security, risk management, business continuity, emergency response or crisis management projects.

Since its inception in 2015 it has become widely recognised as one of the leading professional qualifications in the world, the only risk and crisis management award to appear on the UK government Register of Qualifications.

Level 5 Award in The Planning and Management of Major Events

Monday 1st-Friday 5th May, 16.00-17.30 BST.

Major events, and even more so mega events, are the supreme test of any strategic planner. They demand the integration of hundreds – and often thousands – of separate components, each of which have critical importance, and which can create dependency trails that means that a delay in one part of the planning and development process can have cascading consequences that can impact on the entire development programme.

These challenges are often beyond anything which the individual planner, organising committees and even national governance frameworks have experienced before, and all taking place in an environment characterised by time pressure, competing priorities, unexpected problems and the need the balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. This UK-government regulated Level 5 Management Award programme has been designed to allow event planners to gain a comprehensive understanding of both the basic principles and the advanced planning models associated with major and mega event planning, and will give them a wide range of templates that can be used as the foundations of their own planning operations, whatever the size and scope of the event they are responsible for.
