Devon and Cornwall Police announced that PD Ozzie is retiring from his life in service and is now looking for a new home to relax and retire to.
Devon and Cornwall Police shared PD Ozzie’s picture on X (formerly Twitter) and asked: “Can you give him a home?”
They also shared information that may be valuable for people who would be interested in adopting PD Ozzie.
They said: “Ozzie is a General Purpose dog so has been trained to bite.
“He is a big powerful dog weighing in at 43kg. (Large dog experience preferred)
“He is dog reactive.
“He does not like cats! Not even a tiny bit!
“He is good with the family and is a lovable rogue and a real softy at heart.
“He is still full of beans and will need his exercise.”
They added: “It’s not always possible for the handler to keep them unfortunately, although they often do. That’s why we’re trying to find the best possible home for this gorgeous boy.”
