Security officers detain suspect using ‘Skimming’ device at bank ATM

My Local Bobby Detain Male Suspect Using a ‘Skimming’ Machine at Bank ATM.

Security officers Hicham and Hassan, whilst on patrol on their West London beat on Wednesday evening, were alerted to a male suspect who was loitering around the Nat West ATM in Sloane Square. They witnessed him deploying a ‘skimming machine’, all recorded on their body worn cameras.

They approached the male who then produced a second device from his person.

They detained him and returned to the ATM and dismantled the device that was deployed.

They then called police at 6pm. Following further calls, police finally attended at 7.30pm and promptly arrested the suspect for Going Equipped and Fraud.

The man remains in custody at a West London police station.

CEO David McKlevey said, “Fantastic work by Bobbies Hicham and Hassan.

“Organised criminal gangs deploy these ‘skimming’ devices at ATM’s and capture the victims details. They then commit substantial frauds.

“These offences often cause an immense amount of distress to the victims who find their accounts drained of money”.
