Securitas UK appointed new Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging: Satia Rai

Satia Rai, CEO of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA), has been appointed by Securitas UK, a leading company in the security industry, as the new Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.

Satia commented on her appointment: “It’s incredible to be part of the Securitas family. Progression and transition into this role felt so right. I have landed my dream role, working for the leading security service provider globally.

“This next chapter of my journey will enable me to continue with my lifelong ambition of giving back and serving the security community that I am so passionate about and proud I belong to.”

Satia will also be attending The Security Event 2023 in Birmingham as a speaker in a panel discussion titled “Diversity in front-line security” today, 25 April.

Besides being CEO of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA), Satia is also a member of the International Security Expo Advisory Council.

Satia won the Institute of Strategic Risk Management – Young Professional of the Year award in 2022. 

She has an extensive career in the security profession starting on the front line over 26 years ago.

Satia’s progression from the front line led her into management and leadership roles, within the public and private sectors at both operational and strategic levels.

She has a strong track record of leading transformational change within the security sector. She is an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion pioneer. 

She was an Outstanding Security Performance Awards finalist in 2023. She was also a Women in Security Awards finalist in 2022.
