The Security Institute ready for the Board Director elections

The Security Institute is getting ready for its 23rd Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 18th April. The day will also see the Board Director elections.

The Security Institute, the UK’s professional membership body for security professionals, will meet for the 23rd time this year to elect its Board Director.

This year, Hayley Elvins CSyP is running for the Board Director role.

She said: “Having benefited from my membership with the Security Institute for five years, I feel it is now my turn to contribute to this remarkable organisation.

“I am thrilled to announce that I am running for a position on the Security Institute Board of Directors.

“If I am elected, my priorities will include increasing member engagement through the organisation of events by members for members, exploring the demand for more frequent member networking lunches, and promoting awareness of neurodiversity within the security industry.

“Given my background as a former soldier, government operational officer, and business owner, I believe I am well-equipped to comprehend and represent the needs of the Security Institute membership.”

Hayley Elvins added that she is eagerly anticipating the outcome of the membership vote, which will be announced at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 18th April.

Hayley Elvins is a London-based protective security expert. She is a military veteran, former government operational officer and one of less than 500 security professionals who hold the esteemed chartered security professional accreditation, known as the gold standard in security competence, knowledge and professionalism.

In 2018 Hayley Elvins founded Sloane Risk Group a highly regarded security advisory offering a portfolio of services for both private and corporate clients.

Her recent projects include strategic implementation of insider risk, security assurance, capacity building, vulnerability detection and security awareness programs across multiple sectors including finance, law, construction, the arts and facilities management.
