City of London Crime Prevention Association meeting organised by The City Security Council

The City Security Council organised the City of London Crime Prevention Association (CoLCPA) meeting on 20 April, which coincided with the fourth Hi Vis Day in the City of London.

Police Inspector Joe Easterbrook commented that he believes this is a great demonstration of the collaboration between police and security staff.

CoLCPA members heard expert security-related presentations from City of London Police officers, with much crime prevention advice and great insights into cyber crime strategy from AC Pete O’Doherty.

Chair Don Randall MBE provided updates on CoLCPA initiatives, in particular the ongoing work to tackle Violence against Women and Girls and Domestic Abuse.

At the end of the meeting, many of the attendees put on their Hi Vis vests and went to rejoin the Hi Vis Day activities.

About The City of London Crime Prevention Association

The three crime prevention associations in the City of London (Bishopsgate, Snowhill and Wood Street) were amalgamated in 2003 under the leadership of Don Randall MBE to form The City of London Crime Prevention Association (CoLCPA).

The CoLCPA is a partnership between the City of London Police, the wider security community and all those involved with safety, security and emergency response.

The CoLCPA offers circa 300 membership the opportunity to attend eleven meetings a year with a varied and interesting programme.

Members can bring up to four colleagues/clients to each of the meetings and these events raise awareness on crime and terrorism latest trends, as well as provide information on other threats and risks and the appropriate measures to mitigate these.
